Creating and inserting week templates

Do you use the same schedule for certain periods? Then create a week template once and apply it whenever you need it. That way you do not have to enter the same shifts again every time.

For example, you can make a template for a public holiday, or a separate schedule for good weather and for bad weather. Create a King's Day (Koningsdag) schedule with all the shifts you usually need that day. After that, you apply the template again every year.

This article is for employers and administrators who create the schedule.

Creating a week template

Do you want to save a fixed schedule to use later? Start by creating a week template.

1. In the top bar on the right, click the gear icon (tandwiel) for the settings.
2. Select the Week templates tab (Week templates).
3. At the top right, click the green Add template button (Template toevoegen +). You now go to your new template, which you can edit right away.
4. Give your template a name.
5. At the top right, click the green Add shifts button (Diensten toevoegen +) to add a shift. Then fill in the shift details: the times, the number of shifts, the break, the name of the shift (if needed) and the department (afdeling).
6. Do you want the same shift on more days? Then tick the days the shift should be copied to.
7. Click Save (Opslaan).
8. Add more shifts if needed and save those too.

Inserting a week template

Have you created a week template? Here is how to insert it on the planning board (planbord).

1. Go to the planning board (planbord).
2. At the top right, click the three-dots icon, next to the shift swap requests icon (ruilverzoeken).
3. Click the clipboard (klembord) and choose the template you want to insert or add.
4. Choose whether the existing schedule is overwritten or merged.
5. Choose what you want to apply: only the shifts, or the shifts and the employees.
6. Set how far ahead you want the template to be copied.
7. Click Apply template (Template toepassen).
