To set up the integration with Winston POS, Mr. Einstein needs an API Key from your Winston POS environment. You create this yourself in Winston POS. This article explains, as an employer or administrator, how to set up the cash register integration (kassakoppeling) with Winston POS. Are you setting up the integration for the first time? Then contact Mr. Einstein first (see step 1).
Step 1: Contact Mr. Einstein first
Are you setting up the cash register integration for the first time? Then contact Mr. Einstein first at help@mreinstein.nl. We switch on the integration for your location in the background. Until we have done this, you will not yet see the tab to set up the integration in the portal.
Step 2: Generate the API Key in Winston POS
- Log in to your Winston POS environment.
- Go to Menu > Integrations > Backoffice.
- Navigate to Integrations > Overview.
- Scroll down and find Mr. Einstein. Click Purchase.
- The integration appears at the top of the page under active integrations.
- Click the Settings button within the Mr. Einstein card and click Save. The API Key is generated.
- Click the Settings button again and copy the API Key.
Step 3: Enter the details in Mr. Einstein
Have you copied the API Key? Then enter it and save the integration.
- Go to www.mreinsteinportaal.nl.
- Click Statistieken (Statistics) in the black menu bar and choose Management rapportages (Management reports).
- Click Instellingen (Settings) at the top right.
- Click Koppeling Instellen (Set up integration).
- Select Winston POS from the dropdown menu.
- Paste the API Key into the designated field.
- Click Koppelen (Connect) to save the integration.
The details are now retrieved from Winston POS. Allow 1 to 2 hours for everything to load correctly.
Can't find the API Key? Then contact Winston POS customer service.
What does the integration give you?
After connecting, you enjoy the same benefits as with the other cash register integrations. You get instant insight into your revenue and staff costs in one place, per week, month or year.
